Buttershaw Primary School Improvement Plan (SIP) is based on a model of self-evaluation and improvement planning, as outlined by Ofsted.  Using the concept of self-evaluation as a starting point we consult as a team to ask whether the pupils’ needs have changed and whether the school is accommodating these changes in a way beneficial to all involved.

This important document fulfils our obligation to children, parents and staff and promises that we will move our establishment forward and try to succeed in improving the quality of your child’s experience at our school.

The document sets in motion a series of actions the outcomes of which can easily be seen to be achieved. Most importantly, the promised outcomes are affordable, manageable and can be accomplished within a sensible time scale.
